About 16 Slice CT

Revolutionary technology delivering superior results.

Xpert Clinic is one of the first to introduce advanced 16, 32, 64, and 128 Slice CT scanners. Combining cutting-edge scanning technology with the expertise of our CT specialists, we deliver state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging for a wide range of health conditions. These scanners enable high-precision tests such as Coronary Angiograms (Heart Scans), Pulmonary Angiograms, Brain Angiograms, and True-Match Imaging, among others.

We were among the pioneers to introduce multi-detector CT technology in the country and to perform non-invasive CT coronary angiography. Our clinic is equipped with multiple CT scanners — from spiral to high-end multi-detector CT systems. The latest 64-detector row (500) CT enables ultra-fast volume imaging, capable of completing a five-beat heart scan. All routine CT scans are conducted using ultra-thin 0.625mm slices with volume acquisition and isometric reconstruction in any plane. We also routinely perform 3D-CT examinations, virtual colonoscopy, virtual bronchoscopy, and whole-body scans — all at affordable rates comparable to standard CT facilities that use less advanced equipment.

Non-invasive imaging technologies are revolutionizing every field of medicine, and Xpert Clinic is proud to be at the forefront of this transformation.

Our advanced CT scanner features a high-speed X-ray tube and rapid rotation system, allowing extremely fast scanning with 64 detector rows. According to recent US-FDA documentation, based on image acquisition criteria, this can be termed a 440 slice/second CT scanner. It is used for non-invasive CT angiograms of the heart, brain, and other blood vessels. The 64-channel configuration ensures exceptional performance in advanced pulmonary imaging, multi-organ trauma assessment, and low-dose pediatric applications, elevating diagnostic precision to the highest clinical standards.

16-Slice Advanced CT Scanner

Xpert Clinic is a leader in 3D-4D ultrasound services.

Xpert Clinic’s latest 16-Slice CT Scanner delivers high-resolution imaging with low radiation dose, ensuring superior accuracy, faster scanning, and enhanced patient safety. Designed for versatility and precision, it provides consistent image quality across a wide range of examinations and patient types — meeting diverse diagnostic needs efficiently.

This advanced CT system enables comprehensive scans of the neck, chest, and abdomen in a single session. It also supports triple-phase abdominal studies with submillimeter slice thickness, allowing for exceptionally detailed imaging. The scanner can perform high-resolution CT Angiography from the abdomen to the feet in one acquisition, using a lower contrast dose. Additional capabilities include brain perfusion, lung nodule analysis, and vessel analysis, empowering clinicians to diagnose complex conditions with confidence and speed.

Image contrast plays a critical role in distinguishing between normal and abnormal tissues. The latest imaging technology embedded in our 16-Slice CT enhances contrast differentiation, making it easier to detect iso-dense or iso-attenuating lesions that are otherwise hard to identify. The integrated console includes multiple advanced post-processing tools, eliminating the need for an external workstation.

Key Features:

  • Exceptional image quality for enhanced diagnostic confidence

  • Superior detail across all patient types

  • Low-dose scanning with advanced image clarity

  • Streamlined workflow with reduced variability

  • High precision even in small or pediatric patients

  • 70 kV scan mode — first of its kind — enables up to 20% lower radiation exposure compared to 80 kV, protecting radiation-sensitive organs while maintaining image excellence.

Xpert Clinic’s 16-Slice CT Scanner combines innovation, efficiency, and safety, setting a new benchmark in diagnostic imaging technology.

Deliver outstanding image quality even for smaller patients

The innovative 70 kV scan mode, a first of its kind, elevates patient care by enabling low-dose scanning for smaller patients while providing enhanced protection for radiation-sensitive organs. This advanced mode reduces radiation exposure by up to 20% compared to the standard 80 kV scan, ensuring safer and more precise imaging.

Boost diagnostic confidence with exceptional, high-definition image clarity.

Our award-winning CT technology is designed to deliver exceptional image quality at remarkably low radiation doses. It intelligently adapts image settings to each patient’s needs, ensuring personalized and precise results. By minimizing artefacts and enhancing spatial resolution, it provides clearer, more accurate images — all while improving tube efficiency and maintaining patient safety.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’S)

The main difference between 128-slice, 64-slice, and 16-slice CT scans is the number of X-ray slices captured in a single rotation. A higher slice count enables faster scanning and superior image resolution. While a 128-slice CT provides the highest level of detail and speed, a 16-slice CT delivers lower resolution and takes longer to complete imaging.

Generally, no special preparation is needed for a 128-, 64-, or 16-slice CT scan. However, certain scans that use contrast dye may require fasting. At Xpert Clinic, we advise consulting with your healthcare provider or our specialists beforehand to ensure you follow any specific instructions for your scan.

At Xpert Clinic, results from a 128-, 64-, or 16-slice CT scan are usually available within 24 to 30 working hours after the scan is completed.

Children can safely undergo a 128-, 64-, or 16-slice CT scan, with special precautions in place to minimize radiation exposure. However, such scans are recommended only when medically necessary for accurate diagnosis.

A higher slice count improves image quality by producing finer, more detailed cross-sectional images of the body. It reduces blurring, provides clearer visualization of anatomical structures, and enhances the detection of small abnormalities.

A 128-, 64-, or 16-slice CT scan can help diagnose a wide range of conditions, including internal bleeding, fractures, vascular disorders, infections, cancers, and certain lung diseases such as emphysema and pulmonary embolism.

CT scans are generally avoided during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary, due to potential risks from radiation to the developing fetus. If you have medical implants, it is essential to inform your doctor, as some implants may be affected, though most are typically safe during a CT scan. At Xpert Clinic, we follow strict safety protocols and take extra precautions to ensure the well-being of all our patients.
